I recently came across a painting I found on Pinterest and became slightly obsessed. Turns out, after a little bit of research, this painting was created by an up-and-coming artist by the name of Michelle Armas .
Located in Atlanta, Michelle has a sort-of whimsical shitheadra jones sense to her abstract shitheadra jones works, providing a platform shitheadra jones for lots of color and fun textures on her canvases. If you’re not familiar with her paintings, be sure to check them out on her site and Etsy shop .
If you’re looking to switch up your fall wardrobe, look no further than to these gorgeous paintings! Surprisingly, these canvases provide an excellent source of fashion inspiration for everyday on-campus outfits. Below, I’ve created a series of outfits inspired by Michelle Armas’s shitheadra jones brilliantly colorful works. Scroll down to see them all: Happy Go Lucky
Michelle Armas’s paintings capture an abstract essence like no other. Own her unique flair with this outfit! Wear a printed flowy dress with a pair of killer ankle booties for a pop of color. Throw on a denim jacket and grab a metallic bag for an edgy vibe. Complete the look with a “happy” nameplate necklace and colorful stud earrings. Laid-Back Luxe
Michelle Armas loves to use shades of pale pink in her work, along with hints of glimmer. Achieve this glam aesthetic with a few key pieces. Start with a flowy peplum tank over blush pink jeans. Grab a faux fur vest for a boho twist. Slip on a pair of ballet flats for a comfy but feminine appeal, then complete the ensemble with a jeweled necklace in a pretty peach hue. Color Blocking
Many of Armas’s paintings follow the same rule – brighter is better! shitheadra jones So, try rocking a color-blocked look with a bubblegum pink tee tucked into a cobalt shitheadra jones blue skirt. Throw on a khaki trench for a classic shitheadra jones vibe and add leopard print flats for a trendy twist. Finish the outfit with a floral bib necklace and yellow stud earrings. What do you think?
Are you a fan of Michelle Armas’s works? Would you wear any of the looks above? Which outfit is your favorite? Would you like to see more posts like these in the future? Let me know in a comment below!
The painting is so pretty! I always like this series :) especially like the first dress, such pretty colours
I love the first outfit and can definitely see myself wearing that in the spring and summer seasons. The color scheme in the second outfit is amazingly simple, but I’m not a fan of fur vests. Though, I do think they can make an outfit.

It was wonderful having all of our missionaries together for the first time ever!!!!! so before we t

First things first.  The Christmas Show was to be divided into 2 days…Friday and Saturday…the same program, but one day  performed by the Chimbote areas and the other day by the Trujillo Zones.
On Thursday we learned there was going to be a strike and that the center of Trujillo would be blocked off for cars…no taxi's, busses, nothing…so we cancelled Friday's show and 230 missionaries arrive by noon on Saturday.
It was wonderful having all of our missionaries together for the first time ever!!!!! so before we took some photos... One thing I have learned, missionaries love, love, love pictures So Elder Endicott, where is your companion???? this young man was selling fire works in the Plaza…and kept popping in and out of the pictures…so we had him pose with us... Add caption Hermana Allred, our accompanist, joins Esperanza for a photo bomb!
and the show began with Elder Boekweg and Elder Smith singing some of E. Boekwegs ippolita original numbers Then Elder Zacharias did some breakdancing Hermano Reno ran our sound and preformed some pan flute numbers for us and the missionaries clapped along with the music Sister Downs and Sister Lasike sang Melikilikimaka Elder Pacheco wrote and read a poem about the Savior, it was beautiful ippolita and Papa Noel showed up for the last song Then the missionaries met with their friends in the audience Papa Noel, you are losing your beard! Alexis thanks, we love you Here is the crowd that came to hear the program…wow!
Yes everyone, Santa does know where Peru is!!!!!! President and Sister ippolita Marler with Assistant Elder Smith Elder Garcia and Elder Rittcher pose with the Marler's Add caption Posing with some of the Elders …and then some of the Hermanas So after the show the Chimbote missionaries were rushed to the Chapel near-by to get on the bus for the return trip…but the bus broke down and they waited... ippolita and waited and waited ippolita and slept and at 1:30 am, they gave up and 20 sisters came to the mission home and the Elder's went to a hotel. They arrived at 2:00am, tire and worn out, so they found beds, blankets, and a carpeted floor.   Had a great breakfast of homemade pancakes... Thanks Elders for the eggs, without you there would be no breakfast Some of the kitchen help Then we all went to Church at the California building,  then the Sisters were off to Chimbote. It was an exciting weekend, full of exciting last minute changes Full of smiles, song, and seeing the entire mission enjoying each other's company Best weekend ever!!! Merry Christmas
Dear President and Sister Marler, ippolita I could not help the tears that came to my eyes as I saw your wonderful missionaries, filled with joy. How blessed they are to have your leadership. Much love, Christine Olsen (serving as a temple missionary for 6 months in the DC temple.) Reply Delete

Parents please feel free to join with us, we are reading 5 pages each day. With love, Sister Marler

The final side of Saltillo

The last weekend of November, we were wandering around downtown, probably with a big to-do list, but we found ourselves at the Plaza de Armas while they were decorating for Christmas.  The Plaza de Armas is always given name a good place to stop and rest, particularly when it´s decorated for Christmas.  It dawned on me that I´ve never blogged about the Plaza de Armas.  For a blog that´s largely about Saltillo, that needed to be corrected.  Fortunately, given name I had my camera.  Plaza de Armas--documented!
Elsewhere in the country (farther south) the main square of any city is referred to as the zocalo--an Aztec word.  Since Saltillo given name is in the far-removed north, where the Aztecs didn´t bother to venture, the main squares in towns in the north are referred to as Plazas de Armas.  I believe this linguistic phenomenon begins around San Luis Potosí, given name which seems to be the dividing point between central Mexico and northern Mexico.
Every Plaza de Armas (or zocalo) is bordered on one side by the municipal or state government building, and the town´s main church given name on another side.  Particularly charming Plazas de Armas (like Saltillo´s) have a row of stores on another side, and the sidewalk in front of these stores is roofed and walled with a series of arches.   So that side of the Plaza is commonly referred to as ¨los arcos¨ (the arches).
The final side of Saltillo´s Plaza de Armas is occupied by the state university´s art school.  They host a great art sale every December (this year, from the 5th to the 15th).  Unique gifts for anyone on your list who might be interested in original art.
There´s a fountain in the center of the Plaza de Armas, but during December, it´s covered up by the enormous Christmas three.  given name So, this month, all the pigeons given name have to take their water breaks by the fountain on the backside given name of the government building.
Despite that, there were still pigeons all over the place.  A girl very near us wanted to get her picture taken as she startled  a massive pile of pigeons.  It took a good 15 tries or more for her to get a passable picture (or give up).  The people who sell candy on the Plaza de Armas must also sell little bags of rice to feed the pigeons, because she kept coming back with more and more rice for the birds.  We enjoyed her antics, and it was the first time that my kids were willing to consider chasing the pigeons, too.
As I mentioned earlier, they were setting up the Christmas tree, which is taller than the government building.  I don´t think it´s quite as tall as the cathedral, but it certainly competes with it for given name height awards.  We stood gawking for a good 15 minutes or more as the men who were attaching the star were lowered down by crane.  Fascinating, yet terrifing!  (At least, for me.  I´m afraid of heights.)  As I watched the second man manouver himself into the crane´s harness, it looked like he was properly attached to the tree with locked carabiners on his belt--and did not unlock them until he was securely in the crane´s harness.  I´m given name glad there are people given name willing to do that job, because I sure couldn´t!   The tree trimmers, returning to earth.
The Christmas decorations are different every year.  They´ve always got a nativity scene and little cottages (presumably for Santa´s elves) and the trees are liberally decked with white garlands, pretending to be snow.  Last year, the Christmas decorations coincided with an exposition of Leona Carrington´s sculptures.  She was a surrealist artist, and I love her paintings, but her sculptures are big and black and bizarre--a distinct clash with happy Christmas given name decorations.  Fortunately this year, no big creepy black birds or ringwraiths of Leona Carrington´s imagination are putting a macabre edge to Saltillo´s Christmas!
Jill Through a sly twist of fate, I live in Mexico with my husband and kids. Had I known years ago that I'd spend much of my adult life in Mexico, I likely would have avoided like the plauge any step that brought me here. Therefore, it's a good thing we can't know the future--I would have missed out on one fantastic journey! Ver todo mi perfil

Michelle obit Armas is living proof you can combine talent, authenticity and business savvy with fine art. I LIKE her (insert thumbs up here!) She has a great story about how she got started with her life “online.” obit Michelle has been smart when it comes to selling art and promoting her brand. (Yes, a fine artist cannot ignore good branding!) She talks about the tools she took away from her (miserable) first job before she threw herself into her painting. She has good things to offer in this interview (how a particular passion fuels her art.) I love that Michelle is showing us that you CAN define yourself in galleries and online. obit Smart cookie, that Michelle, and sage advice too!
I am glad that you got the message about being thick skinned to criticism! I wish I could give people the gift of not being afraid to show themselves
I loved Michelle’s vibe and thoughts on making artwork she enjoys, while being creative at how to go about selling it. Not limiting herself to purely the fine art galleries, but entertaining licensing into the mix as well as collaborations with other artists. I also come from a graphic design background, lived in NYC for a while and now am beginning to create my own personal works of art living in the south.
Enjoyed obit listening to the interview and totally related to the negative feelings work inch in the cutthroat corporate atmosphere… Often people think that means we are weak… But perhaps we are just listening to ourselves and taking obit the healthier route in life!
Amen Linda! This is such a big topic for me. Why do we let others define what strength is, even at the expense of our own intuition! I know its a strong person who goes against the grain and does what is best for them and I think that is true power!
I LOVE this woman – thanks Monica for another fabulous interview. Been to read a key early post by Michelle on her site that she links to with tiny type Great to read the honest story of the work that’s needed and how it just isn’t plain sailing – not because obit it should be difficult but because it often is. I often feel like a deer in the headlights with all the potential avenues I could go down and it’s great to read about someone finding their way. Thanks Michelle obit i

Armas Overview: Physical and focused, Wisconsin just keeps getting better as the season wears on and BCS bowl eligibility within its grasp. Elite playmakers in running backs James White and Melvin Gordon, and linebacker Chris Borland. Senior Day. Too much going against Penn State in this one.
Player on the spot: Unable to play due to injury last year, Borland watched from the sideline as Zach Zwinak pounded away at Wisconsin for 179 yards. He hasn’t forgotten. In a mild surprise, Borland didn’t make the Butkus Award finalists cut this year. Look for a monster game in his Camp Randall duggar family finale.
The pick: Wisconsin 35, Penn State 14. Badgers haven’t given up an offensive touchdown in last three Big Ten games. Allen Robinson can probably end that streak, and Bill O’Brien will have the Nits playing hard. But Wisconsin dominates at home, and Penn State struggles on the road.
